I’ve benefited professionally, personally and emotionally from doing my advanced apprenticeship.
When I started, I had some management skills and good health. Shortly afterwards, I became ill and needed
unpleasant, frequent hospital treatment for most of my apprenticeship. It was a very troubling time. Doing my
coursework made me more motivated to finish my apprenticeship ahead of time and took my mind off my
illness.
The new management skills I was learning were put into practice immediately – I had to manage my team, the kitchen, my illness, my hospital visits and my apprenticeship workload simultaneously. Now, I’ve learnt how to communicate more effectively and understand the effects of my actions on my team. They perform even better and I’m definitely more efficient!

You will have your own highly experienced personal trainer who has worked in your sector to give you the skills you need.
